2025-26 Summer Reading Lists and Math Skills

Summer is a great time for kids to have fun. It is also a wonderful time for parents and children to read together. Reading to a child is one of the best ways to get a child interested in reading. Reading aloud to your child is a great way to help your child begin to learn good reading skills. In the early years, children take their first steps toward becoming good readers. The more they are exposed to books, the more excited they become about reading. Show your child that reading is fun and that anytime is a good time to curl up with a great book.

In addition, we would love for you to practice level-appropriate math skills with your child over the summer so information can stay fresh in their minds during the break. It is helpful for both students and teachers if they can start the school year with a solid base of math skills learned the previous year and use them as building blocks for new material!
