Excellence in Catholic Education
Welcome to Notre Dame Academy! Thank you for your interest in NDA. We are always eager to share information about our school. Notre Dame Academy is the first regional school in the Archdiocese of Louisville. The school was formed in 2004 by St. Helen, St. Denis and St. Lawrence Schools. NDA is highly supported by the faith communities of Mary Queen of Peace and St. Lawrence Parish. At Notre Dame Academy, we set an example for our community by living our motto: Excellence in Catholic Education. Rather than tell you, we would rather you experience the unprecedented atmosphere of Notre Dame Academy firsthand. We welcome and encourage you to visit anytime.
Here at NDA we pride ourselves on the quality of the education we provide our students. We go beyond best practice to ensure all of our students are prepared for their next steps in life and below are a few of the things we do to provide an excellent education for every student.
1:1 technology Program
In grades 5th through 8th each student is issued a Chromebook at the beginning of the year to use for classwork, projects, differentiated instruction, homework, etc.
Each trimester, the students that have exhibited high achievement in areas such as academics, attendance, positive behaviors, and Accelerated Reading receive recognition and placed in drawings for large prizes.
Each student is taught to the best of each individual's ability. With the use of technology we have the ability to push students further that need it and provide more instruction to those that might be struggling.
The use of technology is imperative in this day and age. Therefore each classroom is equipped with either an Apple TV, Smart Board, or Start TV which provide a completely interactive learning experience.
