The “Scoop” about Pre-K
St. Lawrence Pre-K is located on Notre Dame Academy’s Campus
● The Notre Dame Academy (NDA) school calendar is followed
● Fridays are 1:00 dismissal days for students. After students dismiss it is professional
development time for teachers until 3:05.
● The school day is 7:50 am-2:45 pm Monday - Friday.
● Children may arrive as early as 7:30am **
● Two Pre-K classrooms
● Class Size:
● A teacher and full time assistant in classroom with 24 students
● A teacher in classroom with 12 students
● Age-appropriate curriculum is followed
● Curriculum is student centered and student engaged where the children learn through play
● CLEVERTOUCH Board in each classroom
● 1:1 iPads
● Students wear uniforms
● Students have weekly itinerant classes: Music, PE, Library, iPad time, Art, STEM and Spanish
● Students attend weekly school masses
● Students participate in NDA assemblies, fundraisers and special events
● Students eat lunch in NDA cafeteria (children may buy or bring lunch from home)
● Sixth grade students at NDA are buddies to the Pre-K (activities are done together)
● Several field trips are taken
● Students participate in Parent-Teacher-Student conferences twice a year
● Students receive report cards three times a year
● A list of school supplies that you will need to provide for your child will be provided prior to the start of
school.
● Tuition is paid in full or in 10 monthly installments (July.-April). Tuition is collected via FACTS Tuition
Management. Tuition payment begins in July and ends in April. Families wishing to pay tuition in full
must do so by July 1st preceding the current school year. **
● Family Fee is paid at the beginning of the school year.**
● After School Care is offered by Notre Dame Academy (Nicole Goff -- [email protected])
**The Child Enrichment Center offers Before School Care for an additional charge. Before School Care hours
are 6:30am-7:30am and breakfast is included.
**Current tuition is $5100.00 per year. Tuition for next year will be set in the Spring.
**Family Fee this year was $225.00.
